OnePile Privacy Policy
OnepileTech Limited ("OnePile", "we", "our", or "us") operates the OnePile mobile app and related web services. This policy explains what information we access, collect, use, share, retain, and delete when you use OnePile.
1. Information We Access or Collect
- Account and contact information: such as phone number, email address, login credentials or verification codes, display name, and account identifiers.
- Profile information: such as avatar, date of birth, gender, school or community affiliation, favorite categories, and other details you choose to add to your profile.
- Content you submit: such as photos or files you choose to upload, book comments and ratings, school or community posts, customer support messages, and other content you choose to submit. Photos or videos are accessed only when you actively choose to upload them.
- Service activity and transaction information: such as donation, borrowing, reservation, points, coupon redemption, machine authorization status, and other records needed to provide the service.
- Location information: when you use nearby machine, map, or location-based features, we may process your current location or coordinates to show relevant results.
- Device and diagnostic information: such as push notification token, crash or error logs, app version, and related troubleshooting data needed to maintain the service.
- Health Data: OnePile does not intentionally access or collect health data from Google Fit, Health Connect, Apple Health, or similar health platforms, and health data is not required to use the service. If you voluntarily include health-related information in a support request, complaint, uploaded image, message, or other content you submit to us, we will use that information only to respond to the request, operate or moderate the relevant feature, protect safety, or comply with law. We do not use health data for advertising or marketing.
2. How We Use Information
- To create, verify, and protect your account.
- To provide donation, borrowing, pickup, school or community, rewards, and customer support features.
- To show nearby machines, maps, and other location-based results.
- To display your profile or content in features where you choose to participate.
- To send service notices, one-time codes, and push notifications.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and technical issues.
- To comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms.
- To improve the reliability, functionality, and user experience of the service.
3. How We Share Information
- With service providers that host systems, store files, send notifications, or support customer service and technical operations, but only to the extent needed to provide the service.
- With schools, communities, or partners when necessary to operate school or community features or machine authorization tied to your membership.
- With other users or the relevant school/community when you intentionally publish content, such as your display name, avatar, comments, ratings, posts, or other content you choose to make visible.
- With authorities or relevant counterparties when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or prevent fraud.
- We do not sell personal data.
4. Data Retention
- Account, profile, and transaction data: retained while your account remains active and for as long as needed to provide the service.
- Uploaded content and user-generated content: retained until you remove it, your account is deleted, or it is no longer needed for the relevant feature.
- Location data: used primarily to respond to the request you initiate, such as finding nearby machines, and retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for operations, security, or legal compliance.
- Push tokens and technical identifiers: retained until refreshed, no longer valid, or your account is deleted.
- Diagnostic and support data: retained only as long as needed to investigate, resolve, and document the issue, and longer only where required for security, fraud prevention, disputes, or legal obligations.
- After account deletion: your account is first deactivated and kept during the recovery period supported by the service. After that period, remaining personal data associated with the account is deleted or anonymized unless we must retain limited records for legal, tax, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.
5. How You Can Delete Data
- In the app, go to Settings > Delete Account to request account deletion.
- If you want us to delete personal data that you cannot remove within the app, email info@onepile.co and include the phone number or email address associated with your account.
- We may ask you to verify your identity before we process a deletion request.
- We may retain limited records where required by law, tax, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution needs.
